We strongly urge you to avoid using free or "disposable" email addresses with Mago for two main reasons.
The first is strictly our opinion and based on decades of experience as performers ourselves.
We think it projects a less professional image. You're not representing yourself as an established, legitimate entity. Of course we know you are, or you wouldn't be here. You're working hard to build and maintain your business, so why not give yourself the credibility you deserve by using your own domain for email? Sure you can get away with using a Yahoo or Gmail address...but it looks so much more professional when you use your own unique domain.
The second is much more important, and not subject to opinion. For starters, it might actually be against the terms of service of the provider you're using. If they detect that you are using their service in this way, you may be subject to countermeasures or account suspension.
Additionally, you have no configuration control. When you use a third party (like Mago) to handle your email, you can customize your domain to authenticate this activity. You can't do this with a disposable email service, and neglecting this step will negatively impact your deliverability rate. Many spam filters will also assign demerits to your email from a disposable email address automatically, simply because many scammers and spammers use these services.
We want you to get the most out of Mago, and we know a high rate of deliverability is important to you. It's important to us, too, which is why we want to be very clear that we highly recommend using a domain you own to send emails with Mago.
